Rules for the Story Writing Contest
Contest Overview:
1. The Story Writing Contest is a creative writing competition in which contestants are provided with a set of characters and their relationships.
2. Contestants must include all the mentioned characters and can add more characters if needed to create a compelling story.
3. Each entry will be scored out of 100 points based on various criteria, including content, storyline, length, and the inclusion of images or GIFs.
4. Entries will be posted in a specific thread dedicated to the contest.
5.Any contest specific theme rules will be mentioned in that particular weekly contest thread
6.Do not post contest story in your thread until we close current week contest.
Entry Requirements:
5. The contest is open to writers of all levels and backgrounds.
6. Participants must submit their entries in English or Hindi.
Character and Relationship List:
7. Contestants will be provided with a list of characters and their relationships. These characters must be central to the story. Additional characters can be introduced as needed.
Content and Creativity :
8. Entries will be evaluated on the creativity and originality of the story.
9. Contestants should strive to engage the readers, evoke emotions, and provide a unique perspective on the given characters and their relationships.
Title (10 Points)
Storyline (40 Points):
10. The plot and storyline of the story should be engaging, well-structured, and coherent.
11. The narrative should demonstrate a clear beginning, middle, and end, with a focus on character development and growth.
Length (20 Points):
12. Entries must be a minimum of 700 words.
13. The word count should be indicated at the end of the entry.
Inclusion of Images or GIFs (30 Points):
14. Contestants are encouraged to include images or GIFs in their entries to enhance the visual appeal of the story.
15. you can use all desifake creators edits with credit.
16. Images or GIFs should be relevant to the storyline and must not violate copyright or licensing agreements.
Submission Guidelines:
17. Entries should be posted in the designated thread with the appropriate title, and images or GIFs should be included directly in the post.
18. Submissions should be made before the contest deadline, which will be mentioned in each week contest threads.
Judging and Scoring:
19. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges.
20. Each entry will be scored out of 100 points, with 30 points allocated for the inclusion of images or GIFs, and the remaining 70 points divided among content, storyline, and length.
21. The decision of the judges is final and binding.
Prizes:
22. Prizes will be awarded in the form of DF Coins and badges with the amount depending on the contestants' ranking.
- 1st Place: 30,000 DF coins
- 2nd Place: 20,000 DF coins
- 3rd Place: 10,000 DF Coins
Announcement of Winners:
23. The winners will be announced in the contest forum. Winners will also be notified through private messages or email.
